Held in the Research Reserve
Loanable items will be available for collection from the reservation shelves in the Library Information Centre on the ground floor. You will have one week to collect your item.
 
Thesis and reference only items must be collected from the Allport Room reception desk on the lower ground floor, during the opening hours listed below. If you need to consult items outside of these times, please contact Just Ask.

Request an item from the Research Reserve




During the current health situation Research Reserve Requests are expected to take up to 2 working days to fulfill.
The Research Reserve collections are located on the lower ground floor of the University of Birmingham Library and consist of lesser-used and heritage collections of books, journals, microfilms and other research material. A fetching service is in operation during Research Reserve opening hours to ensure this material is accessible to all University of Birmingham readers, including externally registered members, SCONUL access card holders, reference pass holders and visitors.
 
  • How to request an item
    To request an item, fill in the online request form below, ensuring that you supply a valid email address. For University of Birmingham staff and students please use your university email address. Once your item has been retrieved from the Research Reserve, we will send you a confirmatory email telling you it is ready for collection, how long the item will be held for you and the collection point.
     

 

This form is unavailable from 14/9/2023. Instead, users should make sure they are logged into FindIt@Bham and an option to "Request" an item will be displayed in the full record of Research Reserve items.
